How to save time during installation and maintenance
The mechanical status indication always provides a complete overview. Failure of individual arresters due to overload is immediately apparent through the red inspection window.
In addition, the status can be reported directly to a higher-level control system by means of the relevant remote signalling unit.
The active transmitter and receiver unit with passive reverse unit minimises the wiring effort during installation.

The right arrester for every application
The choice is yours. Compact or modular?
The BLITZDUCTORconnect product family includes both. Especially useful in large-scale systems: All arrester variants have a width of only 6 mm.
Modular arresters consist of a base part and protection module. The module locking mechanism fixes the protection module to the base part and is vibration and shock-tested.
Advantage for maintenance: Only the overloaded module has to be replaced. Thus, surge protection for the system is quickly restored without the need for rewiring.

In order to precisely remove plug-in modules without accidentally pulling an adjacent module, the secR release buttons are a great practical aid.

The arrester has a disconnection function, pulling the arrester module, turning it 180° and plugging it into the base part again interrupts the signal circuit. This provides a considerable time benefit when carrying out measurements.
Another plus for the installer:
All installation steps are performed without tools and without installing disconnection clamps.

Reliable system availability is a top priority for industry and production. This means that operation should remain uninterrupted, even if an arrester has discharged surges and needs to be replaced.
BLITZDUCTORconnect scores here, too. The fail-open function disconnects overloaded components from the signal circuit. This means that the system circuit remains available, the arrester can be replaced during operation and production processes are not interrupted.

All arresters of the BLITZDUCTORconnect series are approved for use in Ex zone 2. They thus meet the requirements of type of protection "ec".
A special Ex-approved device variant is available for protecting intrinsically safe signal circuits.
All blue arresters of the BLITZDUCTORconnect series meet the requirements of type of protection "ia". They are approved for use in Ex zones 1+2 and for gas and dust applications.
UL, CSA, EAC, SIL, ATEX, IECEx
The Ex(i) partition PARTITION EXI ensures that the minimum distance between intrinsically safe and non-intrinsically safe signal circuits is maintained. When using the surge protection devices in intrinsically safe circuits, this minimum distance ≥ is 50 mm.
